Studio 2 - an update.

At the beginning of January, we were excited to be able to announce that, after some time of searching for an appropriate venue, we had finally opened our second space above our original studio in Bancroft, Hitchin.

This had been an ambition of ours for some time, as we had sought to satisfy the demand for our private training sessions and classes - especially during our most popular times at evenings and weekends. The second suite was also a key part of our plan to move towards a fully classical apparatus Pilates studio.

On opening the doors to our new room, we were finally able to offer a great deal more availability, and the initial feedback from our clients was very positive indeed.

It is with a great deal of disappointment therefore that we have to notify you that, due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, we have had to discontinue the use of our second studio for apparatus work.

This has come as something of a blow to us. The opening of a second room has been a long-term goal of ours as we have striven to continue to offer our loyal clients a wide variety of Pilates services.

Over the last few weeks we have been communicating with our landlords, The Hitchin Property Trust, to try and find a way forward that would enable us to continue using the suite as we had hoped, but unfortunately so far we have not been able to find a solution.

During this time, we have had to make a number of amendments to our anticipated timetabling, so as to be able to continue delivering booked sessions with a minimal amount of impact and disruption.

While we have done whatever possible to minimise the impact of being unable to use our new suite, some of our sessions over the last few weeks had to be moved, or cancelled at short notice, and some classes are having to be moved upstairs where apparatus is not needed whilst we continue to teach the apparatus sessions and private training downstairs.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced during this time and thank you for your understanding. We hope you can appreciate that we are doing our very best to meet everyone’s needs and keep a full timetable running.

Despite this unexpected setback, we are committed to delivering our plans for the future.

Over the last year, we have invested greatly in our studio and in our team to ensure that we are offering you the highest calibre of Pilates instruction possible. This continues, and as we begin to look for a new and suitable location we can assure you that there are a lot of exciting developments on the horizon which will mean that we can offer you new, and exciting Pilates delivered just as the great Joe Pilates intended.

Can you help?

Finally, we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. In the end, our studio is your studio. Your passion, commitment and support is what enables us to continue doing what we do and the successes, big and small that we witness on a daily basis are neverendingly rewarding.

We need your help! If you have any great ideas or know of any potential premises you think we should consider, please do get in touch, by replying to this email.

With thanks and love

Ed, Michelle and the Pod Team.
